This image uses the Panorama Applet, by R.J.H.M. van den Bergh. It requires Java to view it. Please be patient while the image and Java applet load, as they may continue to load after 'Document Done' is shown.
For this panorama, I rendered 8 pictures from a central camera position in the terrain. In four of them, the target position was in the centre of one of the sides, with the viewing line at right angles to the side. In the other four the target position was in one of the corners of the terrain. The eight images were stitched together in PhotoImpact, overlapping them to get the best possible join. Cloning and smoothing were used to hide the joins. The image was cropped top and bottom to level the two edges. A piece was cut from the right end and joined to the left end, to ensure that the join in the panorama was invisible.
